The Yilan County Government strictly adheres to the provisions of the“Computer Personal Information Protection Law”to safeguard user’s privacy rights and promise to keep personal information confidential unless otherwise authorized by the user, or specified by, or as set forth under, relevant laws or regulations to protect the public interest.
Although the Yilan County Government strives to safeguard our user’s personal information, we cannot guarantee perfect security during online transmissions. Under certain circumstances, the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) system can be used to ensure that information is securely transmitted. Owing to the fact that security of on-line data transmission is not 100% due to different factors, and therefore cannot guarantee you data security, users are required to bear the risks involved in the transmission of data over the Internet.
Users who willingly post personal information online, for example, by leaving a personal email address, and/or name on public forums, may be subject to having this information collected and used by others. - The County Chief’s and Department’s E-mail: If you wish to submit a message, please follow the online guidelines. The personal information you share with us will only be used by the Yilan County Government within the scope of original intent and will not be provided to any other third parties.
- 「Online Activities and Surveys: When you join an online activity or survey, you may be requested to provide your personal information such as your name, ID number, tel. number, e-mail address, and personal address. Some activities may be restricted to members. You may also be hyper-linked to other web sites to participate in drawings, contests, or other promotional activities. However please note, other sites may have a different privacy policy for which we are not responsible.
- General Browsing: The site automatically registers user’s browsing activities, including the server’s IP address, time of use, browsers used, and other browsing information.
